Connecting With AdiIRC

AdiIRC supports a connection command similar to mIRC.

Use the command shown in the Eggy BNC dashboard:

Code:
/server -m bnc.eggy.net +5000 Username/Network:<password>

Replace the placeholders with your own account information.

Saved connection settings

A saved AdiIRC network entry should use:

Code:
Server: bnc.eggy.net
Port: 5000
SSL/TLS: Enabled
Password: Username/Network:Password

Multiple networks

Create a separate saved entry for each dashboard network.

For example:

Code:
Eggy BNC Libera
Eggy BNC DALnet
Eggy BNC OFTC

The server and port stay the same.

The network name inside the password changes.

Common AdiIRC problems

Check for:

  • TLS being disabled.
  • Plain port 5000 being used without SSL.
  • An incorrect dashboard network name.
  • A saved password from before an account password change.
  • Spaces accidentally copied into the password field.
