Configuring an iPhone or iPad IRC Client

Create a new IRC connection using:

Code:
Server: bnc.eggy.net
Port: 5000
TLS/SSL: Enabled
Server password: Username/Network:Password

Some iOS applications separate the settings across several screens.

The server password must still contain:

Code:
Username/Network:Password

Nickname and identity fields

The mobile app may ask for a nickname, username or real name.

Your live nickname and identity are primarily controlled by the settings saved for that network in the Eggy BNC dashboard.

The essential authentication value remains the server-password format.

Connecting to several networks

Create one saved connection per dashboard network.

Give each entry a clear name so you do not use the wrong network label.
