Development on Eggy Fishing has been moving along, so I thought it was time for a proper update on what's been added recently.
Fishing Journal
The original fish catalogue has now evolved into a proper Fishing Journal.
Every species you catch is recorded automatically, including:
Your previous catches are included automatically, so existing progress isn't lost.

Legendary, Mythic & Trophy Catches
Rare catches now feel much more significant.
Legendary and Mythic fish receive their own presentation, while particularly impressive individual fish can qualify as Trophy Specimens.
A specimen reaching 94% or more of its species' maximum size is recognised as a Trophy catch and recorded in your Journal.
New Catch Splash
When you land a fish, the result now appears immediately in a dedicated catch splash rather than requiring you to scroll down the page.
It shows the fish, rarity, weight, length, XP, value and any Trophy, Legendary or Mythic status.
Hit Continue fishing and you're straight back into the next cast.
Live Player Progress
XP, level, credits, catch count, total landed weight and personal biggest catch now update immediately after landing a fish.
No more changing tabs or refreshing the page just to see your latest progress.

Fishing Challenges
This has grown considerably beyond the original three daily objectives.

The system now includes:
Objectives can involve catches, weight, XP, value, species, destinations, bait, rarity, specimen quality and more.
The idea is for the challenge system to keep changing rather than presenting the exact same jobs every day.
Live Challenge Timers
Time-limited challenges now show their actual remaining time and a live reset/cooldown progress bar.
Daily goals count down toward the next daily rotation, timed bounties show exactly when they become available again, and weekly contracts have their own reset period.

More UI Polish
I've also continued working through the main Fishing interface.
Recent catches have been made easier to read, destination cards and their states have been cleaned up, challenge hierarchy has been improved, and various smaller layout issues have been corrected along the way.
There's still plenty more planned before release, but Eggy Fishing is becoming considerably larger than the original fishing prototype.
More updates soon.
