What Happens to Identity Settings When Premium Expires
Your BNC account remains active when Premium expires, but Premium-only identity controls are no longer available.
Real Name / GECOS
A custom Real Name / GECOS is replaced by the standard Free-account Eggy BNC banner.
The affected user-managed IRC network may reconnect so the IRC server receives the reverted value.
Quit message
The custom quit-message field becomes read-only and the standard Free-account value applies.
Premium vHosts
A Premium-only vHost may become unavailable and may be removed or replaced according to the current expiry rules.
What does not change
Premium expiry does not automatically change:
Review the Premium area for the exact entitlement end date before making account changes.

- Your account password.
- Your registered email address.
- Your normal dashboard login.
- Your IRC nickname solely because Premium expired.
