Suggestion Scheduled Content Author Option

Community suggestion or feature idea.
Hi @Eggy

Thanks for update Scheduled Content 1.0.2 😍
One more request: for the Author option, I currently have to type the full username manually. Could you make it support autocomplete as I type, like XenForo's default username field?

Thanks.

Hey there

That is a native existing XF feature I will include for 1.0.2a. I'll release this very shortly and thank you for the suggestion that would definitely make things easier for site owners :-)

For example, when someone starts typing Eg, a dropdown appears with matching registered usernames such as Eggy, Eggy1 or Eggy Use, etc.

This simple change has been made and is about to be released

Thank you @Eggy for update 😍

I have another report regarding the attachment feature.
I added an image as an attachment to a scheduled post, as shown below.

2026-10-29_084642.jpg

When the scheduled post is published, the image appears twice: once in the post content and once as an attached file:

2026-10-29_085024.jpg

In regular XenForo posts, an image should not appear twice if it has already been inserted into the post content. The attachment should not be displayed separately in this case.

However, when I edit the post and insert the attached image directly into the post content, the attachment does not appear as a separate file, which is the expected behavior.

It seems that the attachment feature behaves differently for scheduled posts compared to regular posts.
Please fix it.

Thanks.

Hi there,

I'll look into this and get a fix issued. :-)

I do need to set some reasonable boundaries regarding updates going forward, though. Each time an individual issue is reported and a new update is released, it means every other customer also has to update their installation.

I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to report these findings, and I'm certainly not discouraging feedback. However, after this next fix, any further non-critical issues will be grouped together and addressed in a future update rather than releasing a separate patch for each one.

This will allow me to address multiple issues at once, reduce unnecessary updates for other customers, and ensure each release is properly tested before being made available.

Thanks for your understanding!

Update: I've resolved the issue and will be releasing it soon :-)

Thank you for reporting this. It has now been resolved under 1.0.2b

Bug Fix: Duplicate Attachments

Fixed a user-reported issue where images inserted inline into scheduled threads and replies would also appear separately under Attachments after publication.

The issue was caused by attachment metadata not being updated correctly when scheduled content was published.

Attachment handling has now been corrected and tested for both scheduled threads and replies, ensuring inline images display only once while unattached files continue to appear normally.

Always a pleasure!
