Saving Eggy BNC in mIRC

You can save the connection in mIRC instead of entering the command manually each time.

Create a server entry using:

Code:
Description: Eggy BNC
Address: bnc.eggy.net
Port: 5000
SSL/TLS: Enabled

The server password must use:

Code:
Username/Network:Password

Separate entry for each IRC network

Each dashboard network requires a different password value.

For example:

Code:
ExampleUser/Libera:Password
ExampleUser/DALnet:Password
ExampleUser/Undernet:Password

You may find it clearer to save separate entries such as:

  • Eggy BNC — Libera.
  • Eggy BNC — DALnet.
  • Eggy BNC — Undernet.

All entries use the same server and port, but each one uses its own dashboard network name.

After changing your password

Update every saved mIRC entry.

An entry that still contains the previous password will fail the next time it reconnects.
