Read First: Suspensions, Restrictions & Appeals

Please read this information before creating an appeal.

What does an account suspension mean?

An account suspension means that access to some or all Eggy BNC services has been temporarily or permanently disabled because the account requires review or has been found to breach our Terms & Conditions.

A suspension may prevent you from:

Accessing the Eggy BNC Dashboard

Connecting to IRC networks through Eggy BNC

Managing your account or network settings

Using other Eggy BNC services or features

A suspension does not automatically mean that your account will remain closed permanently. You may submit an appeal in this forum and request that the decision be reviewed.

What does an account restriction mean?

An account restriction allows your account to remain active while one or more specific features are disabled.

Depending on the reason for the restriction, the following features may be unavailable:

Dashboard access

Premium purchases or Premium trials

vHost changes

Adding IRC networks

Editing or removing IRC networks

Reconnecting IRC networks

Restrictions may be temporary, indefinite, or remain in place until an account review has been completed.

You must not attempt to bypass a restriction through IRC commands, another account, or any other method.

How to submit an appeal

Create a new thread in this forum and include the following information:

1. Your Eggy BNC username

2. Whether your account is suspended or restricted

3. The reason shown in your account notification, if one was provided

4. A clear and honest explanation of what happened

5. Why you believe the suspension or restriction should be reviewed

6. Any relevant information that may help staff review the matter

7. Any steps you have taken to prevent the issue from happening again

Please provide all relevant information in your original appeal.

Missing, false, or misleading information may delay the review or result in the appeal being declined.

Important appeal rules

Submit only one appeal for the same suspension or restriction.

Do not create additional accounts to bypass enforcement.

Do not attempt to use disabled features through IRC-side commands or other methods.

Do not contact staff repeatedly or privately to demand a faster decision.

Do not ask another person to submit an appeal on your behalf.

Keep all replies respectful, truthful, and relevant to the appeal.

Reply within your original appeal thread if staff request more information.

Do not create another thread because you disagree with the outcome.

Appeals are reviewed individually and submitting one does not guarantee that enforcement will be removed.

Protect your private information

Do not include any of the following information in your appeal:

Your Eggy BNC password

IRC network passwords

Connection codes containing passwords

Authentication tokens

Private email login details

Full private IP addresses unless specifically requested by staff

Any other sensitive or confidential information

Eggy BNC staff will never ask you to publicly post your password.

What happens after you submit an appeal?

A staff member will review the available account information, the reason for enforcement, any relevant evidence, and the explanation provided in your appeal.

You may be asked to provide additional information before a final decision is made.

The possible outcomes include:

The suspension or restriction being removed

Some restrictions being removed while others remain

Temporary access being restored with additional conditions

The suspension or restriction remaining in place

The restriction being extended because of further concerns

The account being permanently suspended in serious or repeated cases

Staff may also close appeals that are duplicated, abusive, intentionally misleading, unrelated to enforcement, or submitted by someone other than the account holder.

Appeal review times

Appeals are reviewed when an authorised staff member is available.

Submitting repeated messages, creating duplicate threads, or privately contacting staff will not make the review faster and may delay the process.

Please remain patient and monitor your appeal thread for a response.

Attempts to bypass a suspension or restriction may result in stronger enforcement being applied to all associated accounts.

By submitting an appeal, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you understand the appeal rules above.
