Launching Web Chat From the Dashboard
The Web Chat area launches a browser IRC session through a network already configured on your account.
How to launch Web Chat
Your password is requested for the launch and is not placed into the Web Chat URL.
If no networks appear
Open Networks and confirm that you have added at least one user-managed IRC network.
Web Chat cannot launch a network that does not exist on your account.
If the launch button does nothing
Try:
If Web Chat opens but IRC is disconnected
The browser launch may have succeeded while the selected external IRC network remains offline.
Open Networks and check its server, port, SSL/TLS and connection status.
Never post your Web Chat password or private session information.

- Sign in to the dashboard.
- Open Web Chat.
- Select the IRC network you want to use.
- Enter your current BNC password.
- Select Launch WebChat.
Your password is requested for the launch and is not placed into the Web Chat URL.
If no networks appear
Open Networks and confirm that you have added at least one user-managed IRC network.
Web Chat cannot launch a network that does not exist on your account.
If the launch button does nothing
Try:
- Confirming that JavaScript is enabled.
- Allowing pop-ups for the official Eggy website if required.
- Refreshing the dashboard.
- Trying a private browser window.
- Checking whether the browser blocked a new tab.
