IRCnet Connection Guide

The current dashboard preset for IRCnet is:

Network: IRCnet
Server: irc.ircnet.com
Port: 6667
SSL/TLS: Disabled

Recommended setup

• Select the IRCnet preset.
• Keep port 6667 selected.
• Keep SSL/TLS disabled for this preset.
• Choose a valid nickname.
• Save and allow the network to connect.

Regional IRCnet servers

IRCnet operates through a collection of servers, and individual servers may have different access rules.

A server may:

• Restrict users by location or provider.
• Use a different port.
• Support IPv4 only.
• Support IPv6 separately.
• Require a different server hostname.

When replacing the preset server, verify the requirements of the specific IRCnet server before saving it.

A refusal from one IRCnet server does not automatically mean that your Eggy BNC account is faulty.
