Do not include:

• Your password.
• The full server-password value.
• A completed connection command.
• Private messages.
• Password-reset links.

A useful error report should contain the exact client message.

Examples:

SSL handshake failed
Authentication failed
No such network
Connection reset by peer
Connection timed out
Unable to resolve host

Avoid reporting only:

It will not connect

The exact wording helps identify whether the problem relates to TLS, authentication, DNS, the desktop client or the selected IRC network.
