Connecting to Several IRC Networks

Each IRC network stored in the dashboard has its own BNC connection identity.

All networks use:

Code:
Server: bnc.eggy.net
Port: 5000
SSL/TLS: Enabled

The network name inside the server password changes.

Example:

Code:
ExampleUser/Libera:Password
ExampleUser/DALnet:Password
ExampleUser/OFTC:Password

Recommended setup

Create a separate saved connection for every dashboard network.

Name them clearly:

  • Eggy BNC — Libera.
  • Eggy BNC — DALnet.
  • Eggy BNC — OFTC.

This prevents you from accidentally using the wrong network label.

Do not reuse one entry for every network

Changing only the nickname does not select a different BNC network.

The network is selected by the value after the slash:

Code:
Username/Network

Client network limits

Some desktop clients open each connection in a separate window or tab.

This is normal and does not create additional BNC networks in your dashboard.
