Applying a vHost and Reconnecting
A vHost changes the hostname shown when your BNC connects to a compatible IRC network.
After the reconnect
Run a new WHOIS request in your IRC client.
Do not rely on WHOIS information that was opened before the reconnect.
IPv4 and IPv6 compatibility
Many available vHosts use IPv6.
An IPv6 vHost requires an IPv6-capable IRC server.
If the selected server supports IPv4 only, the dashboard may use an approved IPv4 fallback.
Only the selected network reconnects
Applying a vHost should not require a full BNC service restart.
The action applies to the selected IRC network.
