Web Chat Connection Guide
Web Chat provides browser access to the IRC networks already configured on your account.
Why the dashboard is required
Web Chat uses a controlled dashboard launch.
Opening an old Web Chat address directly may show:
Return to the dashboard and launch the network again.
Password security
The Web Chat launch does not place your password in the visible launch URL.
Your password may be remembered for the current dashboard session.
When that remembered session expires, the dashboard will ask for your password again.
If no networks appear
Open Networks and confirm that at least one user-managed IRC network exists on your account.
Web Chat provides browser access to the IRC networks already configured on your account.
- Sign in to the dashboard.
- Open Web Chat.
- Select the IRC network you want to open.
- Select Launch WebChat.
- Enter your current BNC password.
- Select Launch.
