Why the IPv6 server is used
The
irc6.quakenet.org address is used for compatibility with Eggy IPv6 vHosts.Using the normal
irc.quakenet.org address may result in an IPv4 route that cannot use the selected IPv6 bindhost.Recommended settings
- Server:
irc6.quakenet.org - Port:
6667 - SSL/TLS: Disabled
- Nickname: A valid QuakeNet nickname
If the network remains disconnected
Check:
- Whether the hostname resolves over IPv6.
- Whether the selected vHost is active.
- Whether port 6667 remains selected.
- Whether SSL/TLS was accidentally enabled.
- The exact QuakeNet error message.
